Gotcha

Although currently I'm on a one week study break, don't let the word "break" fool ya! I sure got fooled alright. It's like Ashton Kutcher came running towards me screaming "Punk'd!!" when Mr. Lee and Miss Pang decide to have replacement and extra classes during the whole of this week. The only break I'm getting is Maths but since I'm already gonna be in college from Mon-Thurs (Friday Labour day! Yahoo!) mind as well have Math classes ma.. Exam coming so soon I really don't mind staying at college a lil longer, I'm going full speed ahead.. pedal to the metal!

Today while I was fetching my brother to his tuition class, Fly FM was on and I heard something that amused me. Jules and Prem were on air for Fly FM Rush Hour and they were telling this story of how a particular guy got fired from his job, so suddenly! It all started when this guy was feeling ill and not well enough to work so, like any other employee would do, he took a day off. Upon returning to his job the next day, he got the axe from his boss. What the hell right? Actually what happen was, the boss was spying on him all the time. Not only him, on all the employees of that particular company as well. The company created a Facebook account (yup, it's no typo.. it's that social website we all love!) and added all his employee obviously, with a random name and picture as display. Normal people would usually just accept whenever they get a friend request, especially when there's so many mutual friend associated. You would, wouldn't you? So back to the story, the boss found out that the so-called sick dude was using his Facebook the whole day and decided to fire him because according to the boss, "if you can Facebook, you're healthy enough to work!" Wahahahahahaha~!

Moral of the story: Be careful who you add! They could be your parents!

*Oh shoot! I just remembered that I added my Physic teacher on Facebook! That explains how he know I've not been doing his homework. X)

Tidal Wave

A friend I've not met for a long time recently asked me, "so what you've been up to?"

I told him it's exam period and I've been camping on books.

His reply.. "ya right! the last time (4 months ago) I asked you this you said the same thing. Can't you think of something lamer?"

My reaction was.. well, I didn't have any! I'm totally stunned! Usually whenever people ask me the same thing, I would expect a "well, good luck! or all the best" after my reply. Apparently, this special friend of mine just gives me a totally unexpected answer.

I was caught off guard and when I found my senses back, I give it a thought for a minute.. "Is it true? Did I say the same thing?" To think of it, I kinda said something similar but not the same line, either way, it's exam related. I guess, that's what A-levels is all about! 100% exam oriented, no presentation grading, no coursework, I should've seen this coming like an angry bull see red. Anyway, I guess that's what makes A-levels so widely recognize. It functions to suck the fun out of us and then gives us a more comforting future. Seriously, is there anyone enjoying this? I doubt it.

I'm going cuckoo over you!

That doesn't mean I get to 'escape' so easily. I officially owed him Starbucks for ignoring him one time after another, after my exam of course.

Make a Difference

Time for another celebration! 22nd April of every year marks the day human show their appreciation towards Earth environments. You see, Mother Earth can be feminine, kind and calm but just like any lady she does gets pist off once in a while and throw tantrums just like any women. Oh boy, she show her anger well alright. Tsunami to Sri Lanka and Katrina to the New Orleans are examples of her saying "(**insert tuuuuut sound**) ya'll!" People had been very neglectful towards Mother Earth especially during this modernized era where everything is being globalized.

In conjunction with Earth Day there's a small scale celebration in college. Everyone puts on their pre-ordered Earth Day tees and you could see a sea of blue, green and pink at every corner. It's another project by HESC to help raise funds for it's a newly formed club so that more environmental friendly efforts can be carried out.

Pictures of environmental friendly people..

Don't get confuse between Earth Hour and Earth Day. Earth Hour is just 1 Hour, Earth Day is the whole 24 hour which means you should be sitting in the dark right now! Ok.. ok.. I'm just being sarcastic. I'm trying to prove a point but the lame me inside is struggling to tell. Ever wonder why Earth Hour is not happening on Earth Day? To me, I think this is another conspiracy to make Earth appreciated twice a year, which is a good thing seeing how easy we humans can ignore a crisis.

seriously, you don't

La Salle Carnival 09

Sunday was the La Salle Carnival. There were foods and games and smiles all around. Although it was not as happening as it was during the times when I’m still there (ahem ahem..). What I look forward to was not the overpriced food neither was I’m excited to play the games. Instead, I am more looking forward to meeting my teachers and old schoolmates.

Only the miracles of the carnival can bring us all back to our Alma Maters whilst having fun. Nowadays everyone is so busy and it’s so difficult to have reunions. Like my mother once told me, “we all will eventually reach a crossroad, choose our own path and depart from there” It’s true but it’s no reason to forget those who we grew up with, play, eat and even teach us. Time to reminisce the times we once had.

I was there for the whole afternoon catching up with teachers and some juniors. Went there with Jon and eventually met the rest there. When I say the rest, I don’t mean the usual La Salle gang I usually hang out, I actually included those last seen during SPM result, those lost in National Service and even the local matriculation people like Mr. Ara and Thiru. Coincidently they completed their matriculation program just two days before the carnival. It’s really great to see them again. Those familiar smiles and teasing lines approve them as those once share the good and hard times in La Salle with me as their physical appearance have changed so awkwardly. I almost couldn’t recognize Ivy when I saw her! Ivy was once a Sixth Form in La Salle. We knew each other because we have two things in common, one, the whacky attitude and two, prefectorial board!

My favorite part of the whole carnival is to see the reaction of our teachers when they see how much we changed. Mdm. Revathi was uber shock when she sees me. According to her, I lose a lot of weight since the last time she saw me! Pn. Adeline still remembers me as the boy who was in dilemma whether to leave Sixth Form for A-levels which I eventually did. Most of the teacher is curious to know what each of us is pursuing, constantly interviewing us one at a time and their endless motivation makes me feel so proud to know I came under their wings.

All the fun time had to be balanced out with something more less er.. fun something like studying? Left the carnival around 2pm and Om was kind enough to drop me off at the library. Need to start on my revision for Sem 2. Kean Mun was also there studying for his exam which is in three days time! All the best to him~ ^^

A day full of flashbacks and memories, exactly what I need to keep my head leveled.

*lost and insecure..

Pantas dan Garang

Yes I’ve watched it! I finally watched The Fast and Furious. The movie was good but not as good as how everyone said it was. To me, the movie did not emphasize enough on sweet rides and hot babes. I didn’t see any Mitsubishi Lancer or Audi TT, did you?

After college met up with Kean, Jon and Cedric at Mid Valley, got the tickets and decided to give Carl’s Jr a go since Jon and Ced was so hungry. The pricelist for Carl’s Jr was an eye opener for me. I didn’t know they were so pricey!! Walao eh 18 bucks for the burger itself.. Thankfully I wasn’t that hungry and I got Ced’s fries to prey on. According to Cedric the burger is really worth the money because it’s very satisfying and it sure as hell hit his spot. I’ll keep that in mind when I’m super hungry.

After the movie, Cedric drove me home to get my futsal stuff because it’s already late so we have to head straight from there. Touchdown home around midnight and was dead tired. I couldn’t even sit up straight, have to lean lazily on the cushion like a sloth. Left home in the morning around 8am for college reach home around midnight, I was actually out for nearly 16hours! Fuh~ no wonder my mom was giving me the stare when I eventually came back home.

Auditing

I'm in serious need to start my study engine. It's been a while since I use them. 2nd term exams coming around late May and if I screw this up, I'm a dead man. The difference between me and a corpse is I'll still be walking!

Need to seriously reschedule my mental timetable. Cut down on online time and more camping in the library! I'm retaking my Physic Unit 1 this time and am really hoping I can ace round no. 2. They always say, Physic is easy it's just about understanding but do you know the word understanding can be really in depth? The word understanding is easily said but very very VERY hard to practice. However, if one gets hold of the understanding part, Physic is actually kinda fun and that's one of the reason why I continue to torture myself.

Ok enough rambling.. I need my beauty sleep now..

That One Hour

I was browsing thru pictures when I came across pictures from Earth Hour. That one hour I have left out, had me linger to talk about it. I was at Pyramid to join in the countdown on that night.

Jon the driver, left home early to pick up Darvin and Mr. Mai before picking me up. Despite that, the massive jam along the LDP and the merry-go-round at the carpark area cost us the countdown! Can you believe it? We missed it and by the time we get to the foyer area, the place was already darkened. Sad.

Seriously, I didn't expect such a large crowd to gather outside Pyramid to witness the lights off ceremony. Anyway only the outside of the mall was darkened. Many would expect the inside to go off as well but you know they can't do that right? People from inside the mall are rushing in and out across the road to get to the stage built solely for the event. There were policemen and security guards everywhere. Thanks to their presence, unimaginable accidents and petty crimes are voided. Kudos to them!

There was performances on the stage and sizzling hot Xandria Ooi was there to emcee the event. The performance was attentive yet accordance to the environmental friendly theme. I didn't stay long to watch the performance because something caught my eye..

Look! There's mascots!! Hahaha.. I didn't know Pyramid have their own mascot. Even the Sunway Lagoon mascot was there and the cute part is they're both wearing Earth Hour tees! lmao!

Seeing the huge wave of crowd gives me a sense of accomplishment. Even before I leave, I make sure I switch off every single light making my vote count and I heard from friends that almost all their neighbours did the same. I felt that the efforts in spreading Earth Hour seem to be working. There are of course a few stubborn heads and ignorant people around but nevertheless I would declare Earth Hour in Malaysia..

SUCCESS!!

Good Friday or Not?

Today is a good Friday and I'm sitting in the computer lab facebook-ing. I've been abandoned by my classmates and had been wandering around in total boredom. Actually my classmates are not that mean to me lah, I'm so lovable it's hard for them to ignore me it's just that there's the US talk and some of them are in the UN World Health Day thing which I'm not involve in neither of it. Thus, decided to blog a lil.

While I was facebooking, something really caught my attention. I was at the Home page when I saw a friend of mine commenting annoyed about someone that added her. She was cursing and screwing whoever the guy was and she took the privilege to include the link. My itchy fingers had to roll over to the link and clicked on it..

"OH-MY-FRIGGIN-GOD! WHAT THE.. WHAT THE..!!"

Yeap, that's my reaction.. You think I'm exaggerating? Here.. knock yourself out! Click here.

Disgusting right? To those of you not onto facebook, it's actually about this pervert guy adding my friend. What makes him so low life is that he put his banana as his display pic! You get what I mean by banana right? As in "the pole"? "the ding dongs"? the "key to the city"?? I think you know what I mean lah.. enough imagining!! Such a perverted jerk right? Some of you might not be able to see the picture on the profile anymore as she (my friend) reported abuse on that gaytard! If you did manage to see the picture, I feel sorry for your eyes.. I really do (unless you enjoyed it). I'm sorry but that's the only way to prove I ain't shitting you! lol!

Wokay, that's enough for one day.. You might start to get nausea if I continue on. So girls, it's very important NOT to add random strangers that could easily gain access to your personal profile because they could just be sex-crazed ham sap cock eyed porno addict pedofile! Don't do it just for the sake of recruiting more Mafias or getting more poker chips! Leave it to the guys to do that instead. hahaha.. HESC is starting.. tata!

*crazy people living in a crazy world..

When The World Comes Down

The rain constantly crashing any plans for futsal and so I thought it would be a good idea to catch a movie. It's been a while since I last watch any movie. Sad.

Went to Mid Valley on Saturday and the Q for tickets was frigging long! It's so long it just ruins the mood instantly. Movie plan canceled. We're also suppose to meet with this guy name Kelvin for a so called "brief" interview for the job during the 3 day PC Fair. Something to boost my pocket money a lil ^^ So we went to Mc'D to meet up and to my horror, there's another long Q and this time it's for that damn interview. At first I thought the line was for ppl buying Mc'D but the line somehow started from one of the table and there's a guy and girl interviewing ppl. My gosh.. Did I mention how much I hate to wait? Fine.. you got me, I need the cash and so I waited patiently with Calvin, Kean, Shel, Doris and her friend, Wai Shen. We crapped and crapped until it's finally our turn.

The interview was easy but according to her, the pay rate is lesser than the amount discussed over the phone and there's gonna be training sessions on WEEKDAYS! Newsflash, we all have our classes to attend.. =.=" What's worst is that there's a commotion about interviewing too many people as they're taking in only a handful. Dissapointing. Already I didn't get to watch Fast and Furious, I don't think I'll get the job as well. Hmph! I'm furious alright.

*rain.. rain.. go away, come again another day..
