Happy Birthday, Lil Rascal!

Today as I was writing the date on my tutorial sheet, something came into my mind! I double check the date with Joshua and just realized.. it's my brother's birthday!! Oh no I almost forgot, luckily I didn't find this out NEXT week but you know what's funny? On our way back home, my mom decided to take him to Mc'D for lunch as his birthday present and his reaction is epic, it goes like this...

Mom: I take you to Mc'D now ok?
Chye: ok.. (agreed without hesitation)
Mom: so tonight no need cake ok?
Chye: cake for wat? (looking confused)
Mom: your birthday?
Chya: ..huh?? Eh! Today's my birthday?! Today is my birthday la!!
Me: You don't know?? (shocked)
Chye: Last week I remember wan.. forget de.. aiya how come so fast wan? Wah... today is my birthday lah.. aiya! forgot to tell my friend..
Me: (speechless)

2009 CNY

It's the lil rascal's 11th aniversary on Earth but don't expect much of a celebration. I'm guessing it's part of my parent's program to train kids for future adulthood, which me and my sister went through without knowing. My mom doesn't want any of us to be spoilt like the kids you see in MTV's sweet 16. No sirree.. We need to kill off our naive thinking and face reality as it comes straight to our face and smack us when we least expect, POW!!

2008 NS Open Day

This happened today,

(10mins after we reached home..)
Mom: Why aren't you bathing??
Chye: I let kor-kor (elder brother) bathe first..
Me: Thanks. =.=
Mom: Why?
Chye: Bigger first ma.. Teacher say one.. big fish eat small fish!
Me: (giggling into the bathrom)
Mom: (spotted someone eating) Then when makan time? Why small eat first?!
Chye: hehe.. hungry lah..

Actually he's just lazy, he likes to walk around at home with his smelly uniform on.

Although he can be not little but very very annoying at times, he is still my blood related brother and not "brother" you get from your nearby VCD peddler or your favorite mamak stall. Believe it or not, he's the only one in this whole corrupted world that actually look up to me like an idol. He observe, learn and follow my every move from talking, fashion, hairstyle, sports, hobby, Manchester United, food and even in music! Out of the blue, you can hear him singing some weird unknown song only to find out that it's Girls Generation songs that I've been listening to a lot!

2008 Singapore Trip

So as a role model to him like how celebrities are to their loyal fans, I must always show him only the good sides and maintain a positive side to him so that I wouldn't disappoint him in the future. After all when we're older and our parents are no longer around, we've only got each other to count on so..

Cultural Shock

What a great day!

Although initial plan was to go for Karaoke with the whole class but ended only 4 of us are "available". Despite that we keep our chin up, decided to travel all the way to Ampang Korean Town and had the most 'AWESOMEST' Korean BBQ. It's important to bring along at least ONE Korean (if you know any) with you when you visit there because it sure feels like you're no long in Malaysia and was in Korea! Everything was written in Hangul (Korean Language), signboards, welcome signs, even the aunty speaks Hangul. Thanks to Mia's guidance we were able to savor a great meal with the least confusion and had lots of fun in a Korean Mart where everything sold are stuff imported from Korea straight! I shit you not. Even the ice cream is in Hangul.

Next week, Karaoke! Let's all put our hands together and pray that the plan will eventually work out and not canceled/delay/postponed like most of our plans. =.=

Damn the curse!

*Pictures will be uploaded soon..

I was a little hesitant to put up a chatbox because I loathe spammers but the fact that it's a live chatbox (meaning instant reply) is uber-cool..
It's still in beta, if the response is good, I might just keep it running..
so what you waiting for? try it out!!

if you're not a member, no fret just put up a nick and start typing

p/s: the "tock-tock" noise is from the chatbox to signify a respond..

Idol Battle

Korea vs Japan

Girl Group Comparison

~Ahh.. Girls Generation!

Guy Group Comparison

IMO, Koreans definitely own'd both the battles. Call me biased but I seriously think their (K-pop) live performance separates both side, let's not compare through MV because audio and visuals can be edited and made more appealing but live performances? See it, Hear it, Believe it! As for comparison between female solo singers, I would go for J-pop. The likes of Mika Nakashima, Ayumi Hamasaki and Angela Aki is no play thing. Although BoA was from South Korea but she gain major recognition all over Asia from her J-pop songs so to be fair, she's in the J-pop league.

Anyway these are just my opinion. I love both countries as there are definitely pros and cons but if we could mash them up, it's gonna be Hontoni Jjang!

*Hotoni = really (japanese)
*Jjang = awesome (hangul)

*it's been a busy busy Raya weekend for me, sry for the lack of updates..

Discipline Meltdown

The world of sports is filled with controversy in the past week..

Kim Clijsters recently made headlines in succeeding her US Open grand slam but the bigger headlines was from her Semi-Final match against Serena Williams. Williams after picking up a point for foot-faulted on her second serve which incidentally handed the Belgian match point, immediately blows up and lunge verbal abuses at the linesperson.

"Replays indicated the call had been a harsh one and it certainly incensed the American second seed, who quickly moved towards the linesperson, pointing, ball in hand while she unleashed a verbal tirade and then waved her racquet angrily at the woman, who was then beckoned by the chair umpire to explain what had been said.

Williams had picked up a first code violation for smashing her racquet at the end of the first set and this time tournament referee Brian Earley was called to the chair. After discussing the situation with the player, linesperson and chair umpire, Williams was handed a second code violation, the resultant point penalty handing victory to a bemused Clijsters, 6-4 7-5."
as adapted from ESPNSTAR.com

I don't think I wanna be messing around with her. She easily broke her tennis racket just with a swing of it. Strong woman indeed. Her case is still undergoing investigation and if found guilty of violent conduct, she could have her US Open Semi Final stage prize (USD 350,000) revoked or worse, banned from future tourney. Which I personally think is appropriate seeing how she had recklessly affected the image of sportsmanship in tennis.

Soccer is no exception for misbehavior and controversies, Man City's Emmanuel Adebayor former Arsenal player is on a 3 match suspension following his misconduct during the match.

"Adebayor is facing a three-match ban for violent conduct for the incident involving Van Persie, while he is likely to face an additional punishment for the celebration that followed his goal in City's 4-2 win, when he ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in from of Arsenal's traveling fans." ESPNSTAR.com

Apparently, Adebayor took a stamp at Arsenal's Van Persie with his boot when he was helpless on the ground. Video replay showed that Adebayor had ample amount of time to pull out his foot but it seemed like he let it follow through. Well, if it's true that he intentionally stamp on his former teammate I'm starting to wonder how Arsenal treated him during his time with them. Was it that bad?

Lunch @ Vivo, The Curve

Belated birthday celebration with college mates. Actually it's just a reason to hang out. We needed to somehow gather everyone for a bonding session to tie up loose ends since we've not seen each other for the whole 3 week break and my birthday was conveniently "inconvenient" during the break therefore a 'post birthday celebration'! Nevertheless, I am grateful that we had that outing aside from the fact that ALL of the girls bailed out (am I that hated? LOL) plus I didn't have to spend a dime on lunch, "thanks guys for that awesome meal, really hit the spot!".

Cheesy Pepperoni and Fries

Thin Crust BBQ

Hawaiian Style~

Cool Mocha & Carrotmelon (Watermelon+Carrot) Juice

The people that made this faithful outing happened.. (notice the -ed?)

D-ster

Nidhish the Pandi

Yew Eng and his "wings"

Joshua! *yum yum*

Melvin, camera shy

Sathish the Indian ^^

To end the day's outing we went for a movie. We were desperate to watch something and..
desperate decision = bad decision
so we ended up watchin Dance Flick which is BAD!

The movie is rather lame maybe it's cause all the funny scenes were already on the trailer or maybe I was still sad for the fact that none of the females in our class are free to tag along. Nah, I think the movie is just lame, FULL STOP.

*this year had got to be the best yet~
